Welcome to the first Curyo Wind Farm Newsletter
The Curyo Wind Farm team are pleased to share the first edition of the Curyo Wind Farm Newsletter with you. This will be an ongoing newsletter to share information about the project, covering everything from project updates, key milestones, engagement opportunities and details on how you can get involved.
Project introduction
The Curyo Wind Farm and Battery project is a proposed renewable energy development located in the Mallee region of Victoria, approximately 14km northwest of Birchip and 25km east of Hopetoun.
With the potential to generate up to 1,000 MW of clean, renewable energy, the proposed Curyo Wind Farm could help power over 600,000 homes annually. The equivalent energy generation from non-renewable sources would emit more than 3.5 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year, which is the equivalent of removing almost
two million cars from the road.
By developing the project in this location, we aim to minimise the need for vegetation clearing while supporting the continued co-existence of the project with local farming and land use. We are committed to working hand-in-hand with the community to ensure your voices guide how the project takes shape. Our priority is to create real, lasting benefits that strengthen the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the region, for today and for future generations.
